My purpose is to create the space for you to uncover your core self, what is authentic and right to you. I help my clients have on-going access to this core place in the midst of the ups and downs of life and within their relationships. From this, they are guided to live aligned with their values and find a connection to their inner world. I work from a trauma-informed, somatic and experiential lens for sustained change.

I am a parent and intimate with the beauty and challenges of being present and steadfast in the midst of family life. Parenting is a full-time commitment. It is filled with joys as well as emotional upheavals (ok, let’s call them tantrums - our own and those of our children). I know the soul opening work of parenting spirited children. I help my clients get to the heart of parenting and family challenges and emerge with resilience and greater connection.

My Background:

I obtained my Masters in Social Work from the University of British Columbia in 2008. My practice is based in attachment theory, neuroscience, and body and emotion -focused experiential approaches. I have received post-graduate training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Certification in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Developmental Psychology, and Synergetic Play Therapy. I have had a spiritual and meditation practice for the last twenty years.

My Therapeutic Approach:

My work is based on a relationship of trust, safety, and warmth with whom I work. At times the work of therapy is challenging and it may include vulnerable terrain. I believe the drive toward growth and healing is always present within each of us and that counselling helps this innate drive to emerge. Therapy acts as a positive space, helping us to regain our resilience and ability to shine in our own unique way.

My work is rooted in the intersection the larger spiritual context of life and experiential body-based work.

I welcome people who are LGBTQ/2S and deeply value the diversity of human experience and expression.

I am registered with the Social Work Colleges to work online in both British Columbia and Ontario.
